Skilled Migration Visa - Australia

The Skilled Program is specifically designed to target migrants who have skills
or outstanding abilities that will contribute to the Australian economy


Skilled migrants
are in huge demand in Australia. If you possess the necessary skills and experience, meet health
and character requirements , Australia will welcome you with open arms, however no two applications will be
the same. For this reason we individually analyse each potential applicants’ current immigration status.

You must meet basic eligibility and/or pass a points test in order to be eligible to apply for any Australian Skilled Visa.

status. Additional significant criteria must be met before you can proceed to the application stage.


Onshore Independent Migrant

This is a permanent visa for overseas students who have obtained an Australian qualification in Australia as
a result of at least two (2) years study and for holders of certain temporary visas with skills in demand
in Australia. Applicants are not sponsored and must pass a points test.

You must be under 45 years of age at the time of application. You must nominate a 50 or 60 point occupation on
the Skilled Occupations List (SOL)
, Those
skills must be assessed as suitable for the nominated occupation and
you must have suitable English language skills.
You must be the holder of either, a Skilled Graduate, Recognised
Graduate or Trade Skills Training visa OR
be an overseas student who has obtained Australian qualifications in
Australia within the last 6 months as the result of at least 2 years study and be eligible for permanency immediately.


Onshore Independent Sponsored Migrant

A permanent visa for overseas students who have obtained an Australian qualification in Australia as a result of at
least two (2) years study and for holders of certain temporary visas with skills in demand in Australia. For applicants not
able to meet the Skilled – Independent pass mark, who have either a relative in Australia to sponsor them or a nomination
from a
State or Territory Government. Applicants must pass a points test lower than that for the Skilled visa

You must be under 45 years of age at the time of application. You must nominate a 50 or 60 point occupation on the
Skilled Occupations List (SOL), Those skills must be assessed as suitable for the nominated occupation and you must have suitable English language skills.
You must be the holder of either, a Skilled Graduate, Recognised Graduate or Trade Skills Training visa and you must be sponsored by an eligible relative living in Australia or obtain nomination from a participating State or Territory Government.

Onshore Skilled Regional Sponsored Migrant  leading to a permanent
Onshore Skilled Regional Migrant

A three (3) year provisional visa for eligible overseas students and holders of certain temporary visas who can
meet the lower pass mark for this visa. Applicants must be either sponsored by an eligible relative living in a
De
signated Area of Australia or nominated by a participating State or Territory Government. After living for two years and working for at least one year in a
Specified Regional Area, applicants can apply for a permanent visa.

You must be an overseas student or the holder of a certain temporary visas, you must live for 2 years and workfor
at least 1 year in a Specified Regional Area.
You must be under 45 years of age at the time of application.
You must meet basic eligibility, pass a points test and nominate a 50 or 60 point occupation on the
Skilled
OccupationsList (SOL),
Those skills must be assessed as suitable for the nominated occupation
and
you must have suitable English language skills.

 If you are in Australia you must be the holder of either a Skilled Graduate, Recognised Graduate, Trade Skills
Training visa, Working Holiday Maker or an Occupational Trainee visa, y
ou must be sponsored by an eligible
relative living in Australia or obtain nomination from a participating State or Territory Government.

Onshore Skilled Graduate Migrant

An 18 month temporary visa for overseas students who have obtained an Australian qualification in Australia as a
result ofat least two (2) years study. This visa allows applicants who are unable to pass the points test to remain
in Australia for 18 months to gain the skills and experience needed to apply for a permanent or provisional
Skilled Migration visa. No points test applies.

You must be; under 45 years of age at the time of application, nominate a 50 or 60 point occupation on the
Skilled Occupations List (SOL), Those skills must be assessed as suitable for the nominated occupation
and you must have suitable English language skills.


Offshore Independent Migrant

A permanent visa for people with skills in demand in the Australian labour market. Applicants are not sponsored
and must; pass a points test,
be under 45 years of age at the time of application, nominate an occupation on
the 
Skilled Occupations List (SOL), Those skills must be assessed as suitable for the nominated
occupation
  and you must have suitable English language skills.

You must have been employed in your nominated occupation for 12 out of the last 24 months before you apply or
have met the 2 year study in Australia requirement in the last 6 months.
You can apply for this visa in Australia
unless your current visa contains a condition preventing you from doing so, but you must be outside of
Australia before it is granted. New Zealand citizens can apply and be granted this visa in Australia.


Offshore Independent Sponsored Migrant

A permanent visa for people unable to meet the Skilled – Independent pass mark. Applicants must be either
sponsored by an eligible relative living in Australia or be nominated by a participating
State or Territory
Government.
Applicants must pass a points test lower than that for the Skilled – Independent visa.
You must be; under 45 years of age at the time of application, nominate an occupation on the 
Skilled Occupations List (SOL), Those skills must be assessed as suitable for the
nominated occupation
and you must have suitable English language skills.

You must have been employed in your nominated occupation for 12 out of the last 24 months before you apply or
have met the 2 year study in Australia requirement in the last 6 months. You can apply for this visa in Australia
unless your current visa contains a condition preventing you from doing so, but you must be outside of
Australia before it is granted. New Zealand citizens can apply and be granted this visa in Australia.



Offshore Regional Sponsored Migrant

sponsored by an eligible relative living in a designated area of Australia or nominated by a participating
State or Territory Government. After living for two (2) years and working for at least one (1) year in
a Specified Regional Area
, applicants can apply for a permanent visa.
You must beunder 45
years of age at when applying and your occupation must be listed on the
Skilled
Occupations
List (SOL)
,
Those skills must be assessed as suitable for the
nominated occupation
and you must have suitable English language skills.

You must have been employed in your nominated occupation for 12 out of the last 24 months before you
apply or have met the 2 year study in Australia requirement in the last 6 months, however if your
recent work experience was obtained in Australia this can be 12 months out of the last 4 years.


Offshore Recognised Graduate

An 18 month temporary visa for graduates of Recognised Overseas Educational Institutions who have
skills in demand in Australia. There is no points test for this visa and
you may apply for permanent residence
at any time if you are able to meet the passmark on the General Skilled Migration points test. You must be
under 31 years of age and you must have suitable English language skills.
