Business (Short Stay) Visa

For business people to make a short business visit to Australia for up to three months. Business activities may include
a conference, negotiation or exploratory business visit. Your personal attributes and business background must be
relevant to your business activities in Australia. You may be asked to provide evidence of this, you may be asked
to provide evidence of why you need to visit Australia on business and you may be asked to provide evidence
you have enough funds to support yourself and your family during your stay in Australia.

Sponsored Business (Short Stay) Visa

For business people who have an approved sponsor in Australia and who may not be eligible to apply for an
Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) visa. Your personal attributes and business background must be relevant
to your business activities in Australia and you may be asked to provide evidence of this.

You may be asked to provide evidence of; why you need to visit Australia on business and that you have
enough funds to support yourself and your family during your stay in Australia. You must apply from
outside Australia, you must have a eligible sponsor in Australia to guarantee you are making a
genuine business visit and you must state the activities you intend to perform in Australia

ETA (Business Entrant) Visa

For business people who need to make business visits to Australia for up to three months and who are passport
holders from the following countries and regions, Andorra-Austria-Belgium-Brunei-Canada-Denmark-Finland
France-Germany-Greece-Hong Kong (SAR)-Iceland-Ireland-Italy-Japan-Liechtenstein-Luxembourg-Malaysia
Malta-Monaco-The Netherlands- Norway-Portugal -Republic of San Marino-Singapore-South Korea-Spain
Sweden-Switzerland-Taiwan-UK British Citizen-UK British National (Overseas)-USA-Vatican City

Note: British Nationals Overseas can only apply for an ETA visa via a travel agent, airline or at a
DIAC office, and Taiwan passport holders can only be processed whilst resident in Taiwan

APEC Business Travel Card

The APEC Business Travel Card streamlines travel for business people from the participating economies in
the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) following countries; Brunei Darussalam -Chile
Hong Kong -Indonesia -Japan -Republic of Korea -New Zealand -Papua New Guinea -China
The Philippines Malaysia -Peru -Singapore -Chinese Taipei -Thailand -Vietnam

Cards are valid for multiple entry to participating economies for 3 years with stays from 2 to 3 months if required.
