Business Owner Visa
 
For owners or part-owners of a business(es). You must have net assets in a qualifying business of at least AUD$200,000 for 2 of the last 4 fiscal years,.

You must have a substantial ownership interest in this business and if is publicly listed your shareholding must exceed 10% of the total issued capital of the company.

Your main business(es) has an annual turnover of at least AUD$500,000 for 2 of the last 4 fiscal years, you have business and personal assets of at least AUD$500,000.

You have business and personal assets in addition to the assets mentioned above that are of sufficient net value to settle in Australia.

You are under 45 years old, you have competent English language skills and your company turnover is not accrued by more than 50% of its time providing professional, trade or technical services and you have a direct involvement in this company.

Senior Executive Visa

For a senior executive or manager of a major business and you have occupied a position in the 3 highest levels of management of a major business for at least 2 of the last 4 fiscal years.

You intend to genuinely establish or participate in a business in Australia, to maintain a substantial ownership interest in that business and maintain direct involvement in the management of that business.

You are also responsible for strategic policy development affecting a main aspect of the business or a wide range of the business’ operations.

You have business and personal assets with a net value of at least AUD$500,000 available for transfer to Australia. You have business and personal assets in addition to the ‘business establishment assets mentioned above that are of sufficient net value to settle in Australia.

You must be under 45 years of age (exceptions apply), you have an overall successful business career and you have competent English language skills

Business Owner Visa

For owners or part-owners of a business in a State or Territory of Australia. You must have a substantial ownership interest in a business that has an annual turnover of at least AUD$300,000 for 2 of the last 4 fiscal years OR

You have an employment record in a senior management role for at least 4 years. You have business and personal assets of at least AUD$250,000.

You are under 55 years old, you have competent English language skills and your company turnover is not accrued by more than 50% of its time providing professional, trade or technical services and you have a direct involvement in this company.

State/Territory Sponsored
Senior Executive Visa

For senior executives or managers of a major business in a State or Territory or Australia. You have occupied a position in the 3 highest levels of management of a major business for at least 2 of the last 4 fiscal years.

You intend to genuinely establish or participate in a business in Australia, to maintain a substantial ownership interest and maintain direct involvement in the management of that business.

You have ‘business establishment assets’ of AUD$250,000 to transfer to Australia within 2 years for the conduct or establishment of a business in Australia 

You have business and personal assets in addition to the ‘business establishment assets’ mentioned above that are of sufficient net value to settle in Australia.

You must be under 55 years of age (exceptions apply), you have an overall successful business career and you have competent English language skills

State/Territory Sponsored Investor

For people sponsored by a State or Territory of Australia, who have a successful business or investment career, and have a genuine and realistic commitment to be involved in investing or business in Australia.

You must have a high-level of management skill in relation to your investments, you can demonstrate you have an overall record of eligible investments, for at least 1 of the last 5 fiscal years.

You had an ownership interest of at least 10% in a business you maintained direct involvement in managing OR

You maintained direct involvement in managing your investments the total net value of which was at least AUD$750,000, for at least the last 2 fiscal years.

Your business and personal assets exceeded AUD$1,125,000, you can make a government approved Designated Investment of AUD$750,000 in a State or Territory of Australia and you must be under 55 years of age.

Established Business in Australia

Business people who have established a business in Australia while they are in Australia on a temporary visa other than a bridging visa or a criminal justice visa.

You must be the holder of a visitor visa, student visa, or temporary resident visa.

You must have been in Australia as a temporary resident for at least 9 months cumulatively out of the last 12 months and been actively involved, and directly responsible for, the day to day management and overall performance of your main business (or two main businesses).

You must have an ownership interest of at least 10% in up to two main businesses in Australia for at least 18 months before you apply.

You must have total net assets in Australia of at least AUD$250,000 for the 12 months before you apply and your net assets in your main business (or two main businesses) in Australia must be no less than AUD$100,000 in the 12 months before you apply.
